Utena Tenjou, the main character of the series, is
a very unusual girl. She dresses like a boy, does boy activities, and conducts herself in a princely manner. But no matter
how much she tries, she's still a girl looking for her long lost prince. She arrives at Ohtori Academy and gets swept up in
the duels of the Student Council. She wins the Rose Bride, and becomes engaged to her, against her will. She doesn't want
to continue the duels, but as her and Anthy's friendship grows, she realizes she doesn't want to lose her. She remains engaged
to her unitl the end (except for like 3 days) when she revolutionizes the world, and frees Anthy from her slavery.
